What is Epicor Kinetic?
In May 2018, Epicor announced a new user interface and user experience (UI/UX) system intended to enhance existing Epicor products through improved design. This system, called Epicor Kinetic, uses streamlined visuals, intuitive navigation, and other UI/UX methods to provide better accessibility and productivity to Epicor users.
The Epicor Kinetic system is made up of three components: Epicor Kinetic Design, Epicor Kinetic Framework, and Epicor Kinetic applications.
Epicor Kinetic Design is a new set of guidelines that help partners build value-added solutions that follow the UI/UX standards of Epicor Kinetic. These guidelines include direction on unified colors, typography, icons, page layouts, and more. By using Epicor Kinetic Design best practices, partners are empowered to create solutions that provide a smooth and helpful user experience.
Epicor Kinetic Framework is a website that approved Epicor partners and customers can use to find applications of Epicor Kinetic Design principles. The website provides tutorials, examples of code, API documentation, and more, all of which will give partners and customers living samples of how to apply Epicor Kinetic Design guidelines.
Epicor Kinetic applications are coded to Kinetic Design standards. Customers and partners can build applications that integrate with APIs for Epicor 9, 10, and Prophet 21.
We’re excited to announce our roadmap for an integrated payment application for this product: EBizCharge for Epicor Kinetic.
How will the EBizCharge for Epicor Kinetic application work?
Like our existing payment applications for Epicor 9 and 10, EBizCharge for Epicor Kinetic will seamlessly integrate with the Epicor environment and allow merchants to process payments directly in Epicor. Users will be able to accept payments in person, online, by phone, or on a mobile device.
Our proprietary payment gateway gives merchants access to increased data visibility and the option to create customized reports based on over 50 different criteria. Merchants can track daily sales, customer payment behavior, and unlimited transaction history in the gateway.
EBizCharge also provides unparalleled data security, including safety standards like tokenization, encryption, PCI compliance, and off-site data storage. Merchants can use fraud prevention modules to build a tailored security system that monitors and flags suspicious transactions and stops fraud before it happens.
